He has more than 20 years of research experience in R&D for waste to energy. Notable achievements include chemical process design and development for:

  • Biosurfactants from dairy waste 
  • Bioethanol from cheese whey
  • Dimethyl Ether (a diesel and LPG alternative) from crop waste, Indian Oil Sponsored Project
  • Amino Acid as Plant Growth Regulators from Human Hair Waste (Filed 2 patents for the process) 

When he’s not at work, he pours his enthusiasm into nature conservation. As a director at the Koola Wild Foundation, he works hands-on to protect endangered species, restore habitats, and engage local communities in wildlife stewardship. This personal passion for the outdoors fuels his professional vision: to harness the power of green chemistry in service of both people and planet.

He has more than 20 years of experience in Process engineering, Development of PFD, P & ID, HAZOP studies, Project Management, Techno commercial feasibility studies, RFQ preparation & Cost estimation, site construction support and business development activities. Dr. Anand Apte, PhD Chemical Engineering

Dr. Apte possesses over 40 years of experience in teaching, R&D, and consulting with an emphasis on new technology, detail process design, pilot plant construction and operation, and project management. He has been a consultant to:

Dr. Apte holds 6 patents: one US patent for an efficient turbo compressor, four Indian patents for a single-step process for DME (dimethyl ether) synthesis from agricultural residue, and one Singapore patent for recovery of DME (dimethyl ether).
