What is Syngas?
Syngas, short for “synthesis gas”, is a combustible gas consisting primarily of carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen (H2). The most common applications for syngas are production of heat, electricity, hydrogen gas and chemicals.
What is Gasification?
Gasification is a high temperature (800 - 950 deg C ) thermo-chemical process where solid fuel gets converted to combustible gas termed as Syngas. It is performed in a unit operation termed as 'Gasifier'.
